The Software Team Manager position requires you to act as a lead software developer in the dynamic and emerging technology of IoT or the Internet of Things. Good with people and multiple forms of technology, you will effectively coordinate and manage a dynamic and talented team of diverse software developers.
The Software Team Manager is a respected part of our technical team in technology, product design, and software methodology. You will manage a dedicated team of forward-thinking, highly-skilled software professionals who share a mutual vision for quality and integrity.
Additionally, you will work with our sales engineers and clients to develop and deploy software development scopes, specify methods, and all tasks to be completed during project implementations. You will create timelines and expected durations for each task’s completion and estimate and allocate resources for each task’s completion. You will also generate architecture plans, change control processes, and communication and status reporting processes used during project implementation.

Your job duties include using project planning software and development tools, scheduling, and management solutions to supervise diverse projects and collaborate with other staff, customer, and vendor support resources to ensure highly competent service delivery to all our important customers.
Your qualifications should include organization, management, and relationship skills and the ability to coordinate required resources to respond to complex IT and software requirements. Moreover, you will participate in ongoing administration and strategy meetings and prepare and present progress reports to management on a regular basis.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for all activities related to the planning and development of the software solutions we sell and participate in the development activities with the team. You will :
See the development of high-quality products within reasonable deadlines.
Manage the addition of « responsive design » applications to our existing solutions.
Make sure that the technologies used are scalable to remain at the forefront of the competition.
Manage a developer team and help them develop their skills.
Ensure that both code and systems are well documented by the team.
Participate in the roadmap development, in collaboration with the CEO, the Director of Sales/Marketing and the product owner.
Be an active member of the Management Committee and participate in the company strategic planning process.
In collaboration with the Financial Director plan the department’s annual budget and make sure that it is respected.
Collaborate with the Financial Director and external consultants so that the activities declared in the R&D tax credit claims are accurate.
Take part in development activities as needed.
7+ years of work experience in development, at least 3 of which in development management role
Passion for the development of user-friendly and efficient applications
Strong interest in « responsive design »
Known for your abilities in developing your team members’ talent
Known for your skill at assessing lead times and respecting them
Good command of both English and French, in verbal and written form
