The MDT enables the driver to clearly view the information on a display for easy operation. The large screen of the mobile data terminal offers vehicle operators an easy to view, comfortable and robust control panel.
AVM – AUTOMATED VEHICLE MONITORING
Sensory data is generated and processed to improve preventive maintenance and advanced diagnostics. The AVM module allows the operator to set key triggers on multiple events such as speed, braking, sharp turn, and others to generate insight on driver behaviour and reactions. All this data is available in real-time or via administrative reports.
The AVM module provides status, configuration and event trigger using telemetry output (J1708/J1939) information. The module can be used by operations to determine and schedule preventative and regular maintenance.

VOICE & TEXT COMMUNICATION
The system allows the driver to send or receive a voice or text communication with the supervisor or dispatcher through the MDT.
Voice Communication: Vehicle microphones transmit the audio to the control center. Noise-cancelling features allow better audio control.
Text Communication: The system allows the driver to select in real time from a list of predefined messages. All messages sent by the driver require an acknowledgment receipt which indicates to the driver that the message was received by the supervisor or the garage.
The system presents to the supervisor the communication request and identifies its priority:
• Emergency Call/incident
• Communication request
• Other (messages)
TSP – TRANSIT SIGNAL PRIORITY
By setting route and trip specific parameters in the TSP, the operators can use these features to help prioritize traffic signalling.
The technology is used to reduce travel time, improve schedule adherence and improve transit efficiency. Configuration control is based on schedule, type of vehicle, priority level, time of day, passenger count and zone.

AVA – AUTOMATED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Text to Speech Platform. Next Stop announcement is based on GPS/LTE location. The AVA will be triggered automatically via the audio output.
ISR AVA is a high definition Text to Speech dual amplifier for onboard passenger announcements. It interfaces with existing LED signs and speakers and the new ISR 28”TFT display.

APC – AUTOMATIC PASSENGER COUNTER
Designed to work with various sensors at all doors the APC provides accurate passenger count data along with other information.

The farebox validates route selection, shows operator next run details, updates the system at each stop for entry and valid fare codes.
COVERT ALARM MONITORING (EMERGENCY ALARM)
Emergency alarm/call provides drivers with the ability to inform dispatchers of any emergency situation.
The bus microphones will be controlled through an activation relay. The SPM will send an alarm message to the incident management software. The operator MDT will show an icon depicting a ‘listening ear’ which will signal to the operator that the audio in the bus is being monitored.
Covert monitoring specific microphones allow noise cancelling and automatic gain control.
